EB Goes to HK

October 14 was to mark Joey de Leon's 60th birthday. As usual, the higher ups at TAPE, INC so love a SURPRISE and boy! did they surprise him BIG TIME! This landmark birthday was to be held in Hong Kong and we were so sure it would be another FOOD TRIP! Everyone left on Friday, the 13th, save for me, FM and Wally (Bayola).

When we got to HK, we were a BIT disappointed to find out our room at the marco Polo Gateway (Kowloon) wasn't ready so we had to HANG OUT at room 308, which is called a "hospitality room."
There were already THREE other people in there (according to FM they were Romanians, and he said they looked like they were from "Project Runway!" It's because they had all these SAMPLES of BAGS strewn around the room (don't ask me!)

We were asked to come back to the front desk at 12:30, so we were glad to go out to get a bite to eat.

We went across the street to the HAPPY GARDENS restaurant, which is our good old comfort food of roast duck and soy chicken with ginger sauce:
