Breaker: The Mango Bravo from Conti's on Connecticut in Greenhills

This cake was introduced to me by a guest of Ms Malou Choa-Fagar (supervising producer on Daddy Di-Do-Du) during one taping day of ours. We shared it amongst ourselves on the show and Maxx was really quite ENAMORED by it, so when we got the chance, we bought ourselves one. You see, that day we were busy acquiring "second-hand" mobile phones to use for our Sun Cellular 24/7 free text/free calls package. Yeah, I finally succumbed to the everyday pushing of the ads: "24 days of sun=24 days of fun!" or words to that effect.

Well, you know how it is in Greenhills. The change in hands of merchandise over there... phew! So, anyway, we went there to get some phone casings (it's a loooong stooory). Then Maxx had the bright idea of picking up the cake. So we swung over to Conti's--me, Saab, Frank, Clara, Arkin and Elmo, and of course, Maxx!--don't ask me how we fit in the CRV! When we got there, she was the only one who got off the car to buy the cake. She comes back saying it'll be available by 6pm. At this point it's only 4:45, but being the only person with a positive attitude (plus maybe the highest EQ in the bunch) I said we would wait for it.

Driving around Greenhills with a carload of teenagers and tweeners and toddlers isn't my idea of Disneyland! No matter how much i adore my kids :) So I asked the magic question: anybody wanna eat???? So we get off at Red Ribbon--right next door to Conti's--and kill time there. Then, at 6:15 (always factor in "Pinoy Time") we picked up the cake and drove home. Needless to say, we had our cake and ate it too!
(The cake costs Php600+ and it's advised to pre-order)
